The Ballston Area Seniors host monthly dances on the second Saturday evening of the month from 7-10 pm at the Milton Community Center, 310 Northline Road. Admission is $5. All dances are open to the public. Music provided by Peaceful Country Band (October 11 and December 13) and Shades of Country Band (November 8).

Joseph is often the forgotten character of the Nativity story, but experiences God's revelation through powerful events. Ballston Spa Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting (6:30 PM)
Milton Avenue and WiswallPark, Front Street
The Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association's annual Ballston Spa Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting takes place December 5. Parade step off time is 6:30 pm, proceeding on Milton Avenue and ending in Wiswall Park on Front Street with Santa lighting the Christmas tree. The parade has become a hometown-style holiday tradition, with fire trucks, floats, animals, kids and Santa parading down the main street of the village. This is a true community event so parade participants are welcome! If your organization would like to march that night, please contact Ellen at the BSBPA office 885-2772 or info@ballston.org. Before and after the parade, there will be carolers and musicians on the street corners and many village shops and restaurants will be open with music, demonstrations and displays as part of First Friday, which also falls on this festive evening.

The Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association is once again holding its Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8-11 am at St. Mary's School gymnasium. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, courtesy of Eagle Matt Lee and Union Fire Companies, kids' crafts and activities, sponsored by McDonald's of Ballston Spa, Red Dragon Karate School and A Bead Just So and performances by Capital Region Language Center Carolers, Red Dragon Karate School and BSMS Launching Pad cast. Each child will receive a free holiday book and a chance to chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Cost is just $5 per person. Proceeds go back into the community to fund family events. Partial proceeds support St. Mary's youth programs.

The Ballston Spa United Methodist Church, 101 Milton Avenue, will hold their annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday December 6th in the Fellowship Room, 4:00 to 6:30 pm. The family-style dinner consists of roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, butternut squash, rolls, pie and a beverage. Cost --- Adults $12, Children (4-12) $5 and under 4 years free. Take-outs available. There will also be a bake sale of homemade goodies. Come and enjoy the food and hospitality!
