Creative Endeavors Arts Center is excited to announce its spring exhibition, titled, “The Sweet Tooth Show” which will feature the work from artists from the Saratoga region and beyond. This year’s theme is in honor Chocolate Fest and Ballston Spa’s First Friday and will feature artists’ impressions of sugary treats. The exhibition will have its opening reception Friday, February 2, 2018, from 6-9 pm, and will run through March 31, 2018.
o We are requesting original artwork (2 Dimensional or 3 Dimensional). 2-D artists can submit up to 2 artworks. 3-D artists should contact the Art Coordinator to discuss available space.
o All mediums and genres are encouraged.
o 2-D artwork cannot be larger than 24” x 24” including frame.
3-D work must be contained within a 12” x 12” x 12″ format.
o All artwork must be ready to hang.
o All artwork must be original or prints are limited editions of 15 or less and priced to sell.
o Pedestals are limited.
o All submitted artwork will be on display at Creative Endeavors Art Center.
o Application deadline is Friday, January 12 via email to email@example.com
o Selection notification will be sent by email by January 19.
o Artwork drop off is Friday, January 26 between 8 am-5 pm.
o Opening Reception is Friday, February 2 from 6-9 pm.
o Artwork pickup is Tuesday April 3 – Friday, April 6 between 9 am-4 pm.
o Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.
o Make sure that Name, Title, Medium, Date of Work and Price are clearly stated in submission email.
o Cost to participate is $10 for 2 pieces.
o A non-refundable entry fee of $10. Please make checks payable to Saratoga Bridges and send to 49 Front Street Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
Registration | Delivery of Artwork Guidelines
o Artists must deliver artwork in person. If unable to do so, someone else can ONLY with written permission to drop off and pickup pieces & sign the waiver/release form on the artists’ behalf.
o Labels included in packets. Bring completed artwork labels. Attach one to back of artwork and submit one to Creative Endeavors, 49 Front Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
o Submit a one-page Artist Statement and/or Biography.
o A non-refundable entry fee of $10 covers up to 2 pieces of artwork. Please make checks payable to Saratoga Bridges.
o A waiver/release must be signed at drop off. Although Saratoga Bridges and Creative Endeavors treats all artwork with the utmost care and professionalism, we cannot be held responsible for theft or damage to any piece.
o All artwork must be for sale with Creative Endeavors receiving a 25% commission on any piece sold in the gallery.
o Creative Endeavors does not store packing material.
Close of Show Guidelines
o All artwork must be picked up between Tuesday, April 3 – Friday, April 6 from 9am-4pm.
o Artwork cannot be removed prior early from the exhibit.
o There is a $15/day storage fee for late pick-up
