A beautiful morning to bring the big scissors and ribbon to Ribbon Cafe on Prospect Street in Ballston Spa. We had to pull Kevin out of the kitchen to do the honors (with Christine next to him). There was a restaurant full of patrons eagerly awaiting breakfast so he made quick work of it. We are so happy to have you here in our village!
Ribbon Cafe was founded in 2018 in honor of Jennifer Myers who passed away from breast cancer in September 2017. At Ribbon Cafe, “Today is a gift that we will embrace and honor her memory in creating one meal at a time to satisfy your hunger!”
Opening in January of this year, Ribbon Cafe has already made it’s mark as the big winner in the 2019 Chowderfest, which took place in Saratoga Springs on February 2. The Ballston Spa eatery scored a hat trick, winning the People’s Choice Award, the Best Non-Downtown Award and the Best Newcomer Award for its Southwest Shrimp Corn Chowder topped with tequila bacon and a crab popper wonton.
The restaurant has become a fast favorite with locals for breakfast and lunch.
