2019 BSBPA Scholarship Winner

At the May 20 BSBPA Board meeting, we were pleased to recognize this year’s BSBPA Scholarship recipient, Grace O’Connor. The $500 scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating Ballston Spa High School student who “has demonstrated professionalism in his/her place of employment and responsibility in their school community.” Grace works at Coffee Planet and is graduating in the top 20 of the BSHS Class of 2019. Next year she will be attending Pace University, studying psychology with a minor in art. She hopes to pursue further degrees in clinical psychology and art therapy either to practice or participate in research. Grace received a full academic scholarship to Pace and was also accepted into the honors program there. Pictured with Grace are scholarship committee members Christine Kernochan and Jere Blackwelder and BSBPA President Stacy Simmons, followed by the rest of the board members and Grace’s proud grandfather, Rory O’Connor. Congratulations and best wishes, Grace!
