February 2021 Newsletter

As another winter snow storm heads our way (it is February in upstate New York after all), here’s the latest from the BSBPA.

We are disappointed that several of our usual events and activities (including February’s annual Chocolate Fest) continue to be affected by the COVID pandemic, but we remain hopeful that as 2021 progresses, we will see some return to gathering in the warmer months.  Find out what’s off and what’s planned.

The Farmers’ Market committee is already at work for this summer’s market.  Prospective vendors, new and returning, are invited to fill out a vendor application.  This year, because of possible renovation work in Wiswall Park, the market is moving to the front lawn of Brookside Museum.  The committee and the Brookside board are excited to collaborate by having the market at the historic site. Read more about it.

Also in this issue: the BSBPA Scholarship application is now available for graduating BSHS seniors, we welcome a new board member, there’s information on the 2021 Ballston Spa Map Guide and a call to participate in implementing some of the Ballston Spa Economic Development Plan’s action matrix items.  Plus Association and member news and local events.

The groundhog is going to have to use a snowblower to get out of its burrow this year!
