March is here and change is in the air! In this issue, read about the BSBPA board’s strategic retreat and some key takeaways that will guide the direction and focus for the Association in 2022 and beyond. Six valued BSBPA board members are stepping off the board after each serving between 4-6 years. They will be recognized at a mixer on March 24. The board is still looking for a few more members to be a part of its ongoing promotion and advocacy efforts on behalf of Ballston Spa’s businesses and community at large.
Dreams of Summer–the Concerts in the Park committee announces its summer line up and sponsorship opportunities; the farmers’ market is accepting vendor applications and is in great need of market volunteers. Read about village events–a special election and monthly meetings, a ribbon cutting for a new downtown shop and the BSBPA scholarship for BSHS seniors. Plus local events, member and Association news.
This month marks the end for a few things–winter ends on March 20 (by the calendar, if not quite by the thermometer), the BSBPA’s fiscal year ends on March 31 and for the last time, I am posting the monthly BSBPA newsletter, as I retire on March 31. Starting April 1, the executive administrator position will be taken over by Dana Womer. Please welcome her, she is a hard worker with an enthusiasm for keeping Ballston Spa vital and thriving!
Thank you for the pleasure of working with and getting to know all of you over these last 17+ years. I’ll still be around and no doubt still doing my “Mrs. Ballston Spa” thing. –Ellen
