The Saratoga County History Center is honored to offer a choice of classes on “Capturing Flowers” on Friday, July 14th at 4:00pm and Saturday, July 15th at 10:00am, with photographer David Waite. The classes, both of which will present the same material, will be held in the beautiful gardens of Brookside Museum, 21 Fairground Avenue, Ballston Spa. Emphasis will be on the use of DSLR cameras, but phone camera users will still have opportunities to learn. Registration is preferred and there is a suggested donation of $5 per person.
Mr. Waite, who is primarily a nature and fine arts photographer, trained and worked as a professional photographer in the 1970s, left that career, but returned to photography as a creative outlet in 2003. His photographs have frequently featured in regional juried arts exhibits, including the Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Regional, where in 2017, he was given the Matthew Bender IV Award. He has also received Master Division status and Best of Show at the Central Adirondack Regional Art Show.
Isobel Connell, Vice President of Saratoga County History Center said, “We are so lucky to have Dave donate his time and talents to the History Center. This is a great opportunity to pick up photography tips from an expert”.
