Poverty and hunger have many causes and can come quickly to many who would never expect to be in such a situation. Thousands of people have found themselves in need of a helping hand as a result of the current economic conditions and ripple effects from the pandemic.
Again, LifeWorks is expecting this year’s need to be even greater than last year’s. With the support of caring neighbors, like you, they will be able to distribute Thanksgiving meals to more than 1,000 local families through LifeWorks’ Adopt-A-Family Thanksgiving Baskets.
Each $55 donation provides a Thanksgiving basket to a family in need. Whether you can help ten families or just one, you will be making a much-needed difference in our community.
Now more than ever, they need your help. A Thanksgiving Basket is not just a meal – it is a gift of hope. Hope that there are neighbors that care and there are brighter days ahead.

We could not do Thanksgiving without the true spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. Aside from monetary donations, LifeWorks biggest need next month will be recruiting drivers to help deliver the Thanksgiving Baskets. They very much appreciate your support and will be in touch to let you know how you can be a part of food distribution.
They will be running the distribution out of the Saratoga Fair Grounds Saturday, November 18th with an estimated timeline of 10a-3p. They will also be doing a distribution from their Food Pantry for pickup orders on Monday 11/20 – Wednesday 11/22.
If you have any questions about volunteering for Thanksgiving OR if you would like more information about volunteering with us on a regular basis please let them know!! Send a note to volunteerdesk@lifeworksaction.org.
