Carpe Diem Theater ROOTS Workshop Series

ROOTS is Carpe Diem Theater’s new FREE workshop series, hosted at the Round Lake Auditorium.

SONGWRITING WORKSHOP PT. 1 & SOCIAL JUSTICE IN THEATER
Daniel and Patrick Lazour, the creators of ‘We Live in Cairo’ (American Repertory Theater) kick off our series with two sessions, in which attendees will begin working on writing songs of their own and learn more about social justice in theater.

MASTER CLASS & HISTORY OF BLACK BROADWAY
Having returned from several international tours, D’Nasya Jordan will share her vocal expertise in a variety of genres during her master class, followed by a concert of milestones in Black Broadway history.

CHLOE KOSTMAN
JUNE 10 | 6-9 PM
SONGWRITING WORKSHOP PT. 2 & GROW YOUR OWN WAY
Actor, singer, dancer, musician and self proclaimed edgy earth mother Chloe Kostman will discuss multiple paths to pursuing the arts professionally before rounding out our series by finishing our songwriting work and sharing creations of her own.

During all three workshops, we will be following NYS guidelines for social distancing and COVID-19 safety. We will send these guidelines to you prior to the workshops you are attending, so you will know what to expect.

These workshops are open to all ages, but are geared towards middle/high school ages and up.
