November Long Room Lecture at Brookside Museum: A Saratogian’s Involvement of the Capture of Hideki Tojo in WWII

Chris Carola, a former reporter for The Associated Press in Albany, will tell the story of Jack Wilpers of Saratoga Springs, who was one of the U.S. Army intelligence officers credited with capturing ex-Japanese prime minister Hideki Tojo on Sept. 11, 1945, nine days after Japan surrendered to end World War II. This program is free, though donations are gratefully accepted.
