Ribbon Cutting at National Bottle Museum for Glass Mountain
October 6 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for the Grand Opening of our newest exhibit, Glass Factory Mountain: Making Bottles and Making History.
This exhibit was made possible by a grant from The Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust, and designed by the Paul Orselli Workshop, with graphic design by Kim Wagner Nolan, KWN Designs, and fabrication by DCM Fabrication.
The result of years of research into the Mt. Pleasant Glass Works, this exhibit details the history of Oscar Granger and his family, entrepreneurs who came to this area to make it big in the bottle-making industry.
Join us on Friday, October 6, for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of this display, and learn about the local history of this region, and the success story of the glass blowers who created bottles for the famous Saratoga mineral spring water.
This is a free event. There will be guided tours of the new exhibit. Refreshments will be provided at the reception following the ribbon cutting.
